A tour of the UNESCO Creative Cities is an exhibition presented as part of Manises’ candidacy to join this prestigious international network.
Thus, from 10 September to 20 October, the Casa de Cultura will host posters in its cloister corresponding to cities that already belong to the network in the category of Crafts and Popular Arts.
It is organised by the Manises City Council, and its curators are María José Viñals, Anna Sanasaryan and Lola Teruel of the Universitat Politècnica de València, the latter institution having been in charge of drafting the candidature dossier.
Among the exhibiting city councils are: Baguio (Philippines), Barcelones (Portugal), Chiang Mai (Thailand), Gabrovo (Bulgaria), Limoges (France) and Madaba (Jordan).
The intention of this exhibition is to showcase the artisanal and artistic creativity of the cities that have already been designated by UNESCO so that the people of Manises can become familiar with the cities with which it will collaborate regularly on cultural projects and initiatives if it is selected next October.
Timetable: Monday to Friday from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Place : cloister Casa Cultura de Manises. Calle Mayor, 91.
