IVAJ Archaeological Camp

From 27 June to 11 July, the voluntary archaeological camp promoted by the Institut Valencià de la Joventut (IVAJ) will be held in the Obradors neighbourhood of Manises.

The project will be carried out in collaboration with the Manises town council, and the excavation will focus on part of the old Obradors district, a centre of ceramic production from the 14th century to the end of the 20th century.

The volunteers will have a magnificent opportunity to learn about the history of Manises ceramics and gain archaeological knowledge: the techniques used, the selection and arrangement, as well as the cataloguing and chronology of the materials.

Subsequently, the Manises Ceramics Museum will be responsible for publicly presenting the results obtained after the ceramic excavation.
