Manises celebrates again its festivities, among which are the Festa de la Cer\u00e0mica on July 15 and 16, and the Cavalcada de la Cer\u00e0mica on July 18.<\/span><\/p>\n

Within the framework of activities to be held during the festival, are the following events:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

EXHIBITION OF ARTISANS<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Exhibition of handmade pottery made by artisans participating in the Festa de la Cer\u00e0mica where you can see works made with different techniques and styles ranging from reproductions of the eighteenth century to ceramics author.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Date: from July 13 to August 31.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hours: Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Opening: Thursday, July 13 at 6:00 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Location: MUMAF Exhibition Hall – Art Building (Av. Dels Tramvies, 15).<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

ARTISAN TRIBUTE<\/b><\/p>\n

This year the artisan honored is Antonia Balastegui Reca. Self-taught painter who has developed her career in the factory La Cer\u00e1mica Valenciana of Jos\u00e9 Gimeno.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the event, a video will be shown that summarizes the life of the award winner and which extols its main characteristics: her human qualities, her career and good work.<\/span><\/p>\n

Date: Thursday, July 13.<\/span><\/p>\n

Time: 19:00 hours.<\/span><\/p>\n

Location: German\u00edas Auditorium (c\/ Lorca, 6).<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

CERAMICS FESTIVAL<\/b><\/p>\n

On July 15 and 16 the city of Manises will show again to all visitors the process of elaboration of ceramic craftsmanship.<\/span><\/p>\n

The artisans leave the workshops for two days and take to the streets to show us their art. All kinds of techniques and procedures that turn clay into a handmade object can be seen.<\/span><\/p>\n

All attendees will be able to put into practice what they have seen and even take home a creation of their own. Visitors will be able to enjoy different activities and didactic workshops such as raku, ceramic flowers, ceramic wicker, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The activities will be guided by various expert craftsmen and, in addition, the occupational center Francisco Navarro and associations will also participate: Clavaria Santes Justa i Rufina, Cer\u00e0mica dels Papes, Amics de l’MCM and, of course, Asociaci\u00f3n Valenciana de Cer\u00e1mica AVEC-Gremio.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, to celebrate our second year as a UNESCO creative city, we will have national and international participants from other creative cities around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

During both days we will have musical performances to liven up and enliven the festa.<\/span><\/p>\n

Date: Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July.<\/span><\/p>\n

Schedule: from 18.00 to 22.00 hours.<\/span><\/p>\n

X CONCURS D’ALLIOLI FESTA DE LA CER\u00c0MICA (ALLIOLI CONTEST)<\/b><\/p>\n

The popular Concurs d’Allioli Festa de la Cer\u00e0mica reaches its tenth edition with more expectation than ever.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Participation limited to 60 participants.<\/span><\/p>\n

Date: Saturday, July 15.<\/span><\/p>\n

LATHE CONTEST<\/b><\/p>\n

On Sunday, during the celebration of the Festa de la Cer\u00e0mica, a potter’s wheel contest will take place. There will be two categories: amateur and professional, and up to 10 contestants per category will be able to participate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Contest in which through photography and the social network Instagram we want to get the best images of our festivities.<\/span><\/p>\n

CAVALCADE OF CERAMICS<\/b><\/p>\n

On the afternoon of July 18, the Clavar\u00eda of Saints Justa and Rufina, patron saints of ceramists and the city, offers a unique spectacle in the world. Riding on floats, they parade through the city giving all the attendees with pieces of local craftsmanship manisera.<\/span><\/p>\n
