Manises took part this weekend in the 4th National Meeting of UNESCO Creative Cities, during which the official act of constitution of the Spanish Association of these cities, of which Manises is a member, took place.<\/p>\n
Denia, a city of gastronomy, hosted this meeting, which was also attended by Ll\u00edria (music), the other city in the Valencian Community which, together with Manises and ceramics, shares this recognition. The rest of the Spanish cities are Burgos (gastronomy), Terrassa (cinema), Bilbao
\n(design), Seville (music), Granada (literature), Valladolid (cinema) and Barcelona (literature).<\/p>\n
The representation of our city has been headed by the mayor, Jes\u00fas Borr\u00e0s i Sanchis, and was formed by the councillors of Tourism, \u00c0ngel Mora, and Promotion of Ceramics, Xavier Morant, as well as the UNESCO coordinator, Maris\u00e9 Guill\u00e9n.<\/p>\n
A working meeting was also held to discuss the different challenges faced by the cities that share membership of the UNESCO network, and the D*NA gastronomic festival was inaugurated.<\/p>\n
Manises, as part of the activities programmed on the occasion of its designation as a UNESCO Creative City in the modality of Crafts and Popular Arts, collaborates in different activities with the other two creative cities of the Valencian Community. Thus, with D\u00e9nia, pairings have been made of recipes from
